Beginning Saturday, September 29, traffic on Convention Center Boulevard will be re-routed to the river-side, with one lane in each direction. This condition will exist for the next several months during the construction of a pedestrian park from Poydras to Henderson Streets.
Congestion will be intermittently heavier when events are underway at the Convention Center, as will be the case beginning Monday, October 1, with 20,000 people attending the Water Environment Federation Convention.
Motorists are advised to consider alternate routes.
